Each custom piece begins with a conversation.
Stage 1 – Initial Discussion
An obligation-free meeting or phone consultation can be arranged to discuss your ideas, functional requirements, space considerations and budget. I offer professional guidance on design viability, timber selection and construction approach to ensure the final piece is both beautiful and practical.
Stage 2 – Design Development
If you decide to proceed, I can prepare concept sketches, drawings or models to refine the design. A design fee may apply at this stage, which is credited toward the final build cost should you move forward with the commission.
Stage 3 – Final Specification & Production
Once the design, materials, pricing and timeline are confirmed, a deposit secures your project in the workshop schedule. I then begin crafting your piece with the highest level of care and attention to detail.
Every commission is individually made, using carefully selected materials and traditional craftsmanship to ensure longevity and character.
Custom furniture is a collaborative process. Some clients come with architectural drawings, others with a photo or a rough sketch. Wherever you’re starting from, I can guide you through the design and construction process to create something considered, practical and built to last.
